WO: Weekly Obsessions
I’m likely working through the weekend, so Wednesday isn’t much of a hump day for me this week. Luckily, I have these four distractions to keep my sanity intact:
- This Guy: I announced a while back that Jack Blankenship would be my future first husband, and he’s only become more popular since. From “The Today Show” to BuzzFeed, that mug is everywhere.
- NFL Draft: It’s finally football season again, and I can’t wait to see how this year’s draft shakes up the teams. The beauty of not having a favorite franchise: Watching “the dominoes fall.”
- Sporcle: In the middle of a particularly draining workday? Take a mental break with Sporcle, a trivia game site that offers anything from People’s Sexiest Men (nailed it) to The Periodic Table (failed it).
- The State of the Web: The Oatmeal provides a biannual recap of all things webby, and this season’s release exceeded all expectations. My fave? How to read articles on Facebook. Genius.

Good ole Ms. Dougherty, HS Chem – RIP. Glad you got the sexiest men although “nailed it” may be a poor word choice.
It rhymes with “failed it” — how could I go wrong! And yes, Ms. Dougherty would not be pleased with me right now … never could memorize those elements! (Except K for Potassium, because King Kong eats bananas, which have potassium!)
