WO: Weekly Obsessions

As Tropical Storm Isaac and a shitstorm of protestors and politicians threaten the Tampa Bay area, it’s safe to assume I’m on alert for Threat Level Midnight. That apocalypse can come any day now.

1. Warby Parker: My friend Danielle introduced me to this service for $95 prescription lenses. Just select five styles you want to try and they’ll send a sample box over to find your next frames. And, every pair purchased means a pair goes to someone in need. Fabulous!
2. Skinnytaste: Creative chef, I’m not. Thankfully, this site makes cooking easier than ever — and the recipes are made with good-for-you ingredients too. Chicken Enchilada Stuffed Zucchini Boats are calling my name. Yum!
3. CamelBak eddy™: I picked up one for about $15 — a pretty (1500) pennies for a water bottle. But, I’ve since consumed more agua than ever before. Fill it up five times throughout the day, and you’ve got yourself a gallon. Huzzah!
4. A Canuck Courtship: In news about Canadians everyone forgot, Avril Lavigne and Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger are engaged. I can only imagine how awful that wedding reception will be. And, who’s buying Nickelback albums that they have SEVEN out? Disaster!
