WO: Weekly Obsessions

You may have noticed some of your favorite sites blacked-out today, or at the very least, urging you to petition against some proposed legislation that hits Congress next week.

These bills would censor the Web and affect millions of businesses — not to mention the information we access as American Internet users.

So, it’s only fitting that this week’s obsessions remain quite simple: Sign the petition to stop SOPA and PIPA. You can also contact your local representative using a quick and handy form provided by Fight for the Future.

Congress will vote Jan. 24, so please spread the word (if you haven’t already). Thousands of websites, including Google and Wikipedia, thank you for your support.
